The Blaster Handle is a special gadget in LittleBigPlanet 3 that can be attached to objects to turn them into custom Sackpocket Items.

Usage and Behaviour

Sackboy using a custom-made teapot powerup.

Blaster Handles can be placed onto any surface, but have no immediate functionality until the attached object is captured using the Capture Sackpocket Item Tool; from there, it can be given to players through a Powerup Pedestal, a Sackpocket Pedestal, or a Sackpocket Tweaker. When equipped, Sackboy will hold the powerup at the point on the object where the Blaster Handle was placed. If there are multiple Blaster Handles attached to the same object, Sackboy will grab whichever one was placed first.

Only Sackboy can use Sackpocket Items; trying to equip a custom powerup whilst playing as any other character does nothing.

The Blaster Handle has an output, which produces a digital ON signal when its owner presses R1.

Like Microchips, the Blaster Handle has a circuitboard that can be revealed by pressing R1 whilst hovering over it with the Popit Cursor.

Tweaks

Aiming

Blaster •‎
Fist
)

Cosmetic tweak that sets whether Sackboy holds the powerup with a closed fist or an open palm.
Aiming Speed: (0% - 100%)
Sets how quickly Sackboy's hand follows Right Stick. If set to 0%, Right Stick does nothing.

Behaviour

Allow Grabbing / Climbing: (

Yes
)

If set to Yes, and if the powerup is equipped through the Sackpocket, Sackboy will put the powerup away when pressing R1 in the viscinity of grabbable/climbable materials. Otherwise, Sackboy will be prevented from interacting with such objects while the powerup is equipped.
