The Memoriser is an Advanced Logic gadget that stores the state of both digital and analogue signals. If given a label it will remember those signals across play sessions, and can relay them to other labelled Memorisers, including those found in different levels.
First introduced in LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, it was later added to LittleBigPlanet 2 in the DC Comics Premium Level Kit, acquired through a dedicated tutorial level. It also exists in LittleBigPlanet 3, however, the Memoriser tutorial level is not accessible in that game's tutorial list; the only legitimate way to acquire it is by importing a profile from LittleBigPlanet 2 in the PlayStation 3 version.
Usage
By default, the Memoriser has 1 Sample Input and one Output, but it can be tweaked to have up to 32 of each.
The Memoriser also has two inputs on the bottom that update its contents: a Trigger input to capture the current state of wired Sample Inputs, and a Reset input that sets all of its signals to 0. When the Trigger input receives a digital ON signal, the values of its Sample Inputs are saved to the Memoriser and applied to its Outputs; any inputs that are not wired will remain unaffected when this happens. These values will persist until the Trigger input receives another digital ON signal (or the player leaves the level, if it is unlabelled), even if the state of its Sample Inputs continue to change in the meantime.
Labels
A Memoriser has no label by default, and thus, its data will be reset upon leaving or reloading the level. However, if it is given a label through its tweak menu, then the data will persist between play sessions.
The game has a limit of 50 unique Memoriser labels per creator. A label cannot be deleted once it has been created, although it can be renamed.
Each label can store different values from each other, and Memorisers that are assigned the same label will output the same values, even if they're in different levels from each other.
The player can manage their saved Memoriser data from the Settings menu, under "Memoriser Data". This menu displays saved Memoriser data from any community members whose levels have a labelled Memoriser. The player can delete or protect data from individual creators, or delete all unprotected data.
Because Memoriser labels are shared by all levels from a particular creator, it is not possible to delete data for individual levels.
