The Emittee is an unused gadget found in LittleBigPlanet 3's data. It allowed the contents of an Emitter to be changed using logic in early prototypes, but no longer serves this purpose in the final game.
Usage and Behaviour
The Emittee has an input and an output. When activated, it sends out a digital ON signal, but no analogue signal. The player can choose an object to emit, but in the final game this does nothing. In early development builds of LittleBigPlanet 3, the Emittee was meant to be used in conjunction with an Emitter; when connected to an Emitter's 'Emittee Port', it replaced the Emitter's original object to emit with whatever was put in the Emittee's object field.
Multiple Emittees can be connected to a single Emittee Port by using an OR Gate, allowing a single Emitter to emit multiple different items. If multiple Emittees are activated simultaneously, whichever one was most recently created will be given priority. For example, if there are four Emittees connected to an Emitter, and Emittees 1 and 3 are activated at the same time, 3 will take priority as it was the most recently added.
As the Emitter does not have an "Emittee Port" in the final game, the Emittee no longer serves its intended purpose.
On a Microchip
When an Emittee is placed into a Microchip, its "Choose Object" tweak will be embedded into the tweak menu of its host chip; it will also appear on any Microchips it is nested inside of. If specified, a label will also appear above the newly-added tweak. If multiple Emittees are present on the same Microchip, the tweaks will be shown in the order that their respective Emittees were created, with the newest at the top.

Choose Object Choose an object from the Goodies Bag to put into the Emittee. If the Emittee is connected to an Emitter 'Emittee Port', this will be emitted when it receives power. |
