The Broadcast Microchip is a logic container that broadcasts its logic onto players or tagged objects.
Usage and Behavior
Tweaks
|
Name: (text field; 256 characters) Sets a name for the Broadcast Microchip. If it is captured directly, this name will be used instead of the default "Some kind of object". |
Broadcast
|
Broadcast Target: (Creatures •
Tags •
Everything ) Determines whatether the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto characters or tags (or both). |
Character
|
Character to Detect: (Characters; My Characters) Select which character the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto. |
Tag
|
Tag Colour: ( •
•
•
•
•
•
•
) Sets the colour channel for the gadget. Sensors will only detect Tags matching this colour. |
|
Select or Tweak a Tag Label Opens a dialogue box to create a new Tag label, or select an existing one. |
Trigger
|
Broadcast To: (Closest in Range •
All in Range •
All in Contact ) Determines what the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto. |
Range
|
Minimum Detection Range: (0.0 - 5,000.0) Determines how close players can get before the Broadcast Microchip stops detecting them. |
|
Maximum Detection Range: (0.0 - 5,000.0) Determines how close the player needs to be in order to activate the Broadcast Microchip; setting this below 0.0 will set the radius to infinite. |
|
Trigger Angle Range: (0 - 360) Sets the angle radius of the Broadcast Microchip, with 360 being a full circle. Rotating the gadget changes the orientation of the detection range. |
|
Layer Detection Range: (0 - 16) Sets how many layers away from the object the Broadcast Microchip can detect players. |
Trigger
|
Include Rigid Connections: (No • Yes ) If set to Yes, any objects that are glued to the Broadcast Microchip's host object will also be activated alongside it. |
|
Include Touching: (No • Yes ) Determines whether getting touched by thin layers activates the Broadcast Microchip. |
Circuit Board
|
Show circuit board: (No • Yes ) Determines whether or not the Broadcast Microchip shows its circuit board. |
|
Stabilize circuit board: (No • Yes ) Determines whether the Broadcast Microchip's circuit board stays upright regardless of its rotation. |
Visuals
|
Show Wires: (No • Yes ) Determines whether or not the Broadcast Microchip shows the outputs from other logic gadgets. |
|
Electronics and Cable Visibility: (No •
Switch Visible •
Switch and Cables Visible ) Determines whether or not the gadget (and any outgoing wires) will be rendered in Play Mode. |
