The Broadcast Microchip is a logic container that broadcasts its logic onto players or tagged objects.

Usage and Behavior

Tweaks

Tweak Text LogicName.png
Name: (text field; 256 characters)
Sets a name for the Broadcast Microchip. If it is captured directly, this name will be used instead of the default "Some kind of object".

Broadcast

Tweak Base Rotator LookAt Icon.png
Broadcast Target: (
CreaturesCreatures •‎
TagsTags •‎
EverythingEverything
)

Determines whatether the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto characters or tags (or both).

Character

Tweak Item Select.png
Character to Detect: (Characters; My Characters)
Select which character the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto.

Tag

Tweak Sensor Key.png
Tag Colour: (
Blue •‎
Purple •‎
Pink •‎
Red •‎
Yellow •‎
Lime •‎
Green •‎
Turquoise
)

Sets the colour channel for the gadget. Sensors will only detect Tags matching this colour.
Tweak Text Label.png
Select or Tweak a Tag Label
Opens a dialogue box to create a new Tag label, or select an existing one.

Trigger

Tweak Speech Voice Temp.png
Broadcast To: (
Closest in RangeClosest in Range •‎
All in RangeAll in Range •‎
All in ContactAll in Contact
)

Determines what the Broadcast Microchip broadcasts its logic onto.

Range

Tweak Sensor MinimumRadius.png
Minimum Detection Range: (0.0 - 5,000.0)
Determines how close players can get before the Broadcast Microchip stops detecting them.
Tweak Sensor MaximumRadius.png
Maximum Detection Range: (0.0 - 5,000.0)
Determines how close the player needs to be in order to activate the Broadcast Microchip; setting this below 0.0 will set the radius to infinite.
Tweak Sensor AngleRange.png
Trigger Angle Range: (0 - 360)
Sets the angle radius of the Broadcast Microchip, with 360 being a full circle. Rotating the gadget changes the orientation of the detection range.
Tweak Sensor LayerRange.png
Layer Detection Range: (0 - 16)
Sets how many layers away from the object the Broadcast Microchip can detect players.

Trigger

Tweak Sensor RigidConnections.png
Include Rigid Connections: (
NoNo •‎
YesYes
)

If set to Yes, any objects that are glued to the Broadcast Microchip's host object will also be activated alongside it.
Tweak Sensor SameLayer.png
Include Touching: (
NoNo •‎
YesYes
)

Determines whether getting touched by thin layers activates the Broadcast Microchip.

Circuit Board

Tweak Visual ShowCircuitboard.png
Show circuit board: (
NoNo •‎
YesYes
)

Determines whether or not the Broadcast Microchip shows its circuit board.
Tweak Visual StabiliseCircuitboard.png
Stabilize circuit board: (
NoNo •‎
YesYes
)

Determines whether the Broadcast Microchip's circuit board stays upright regardless of its rotation.

Visuals

Tweak Visual HideWires.png
Show Wires: (
NoNo •‎
YesYes
)

Determines whether or not the Broadcast Microchip shows the outputs from other logic gadgets.
Tweak Visual Visibility.png
Electronics and Cable Visibility: (
NoNo •‎
Switch VisibleSwitch Visible •‎
Switch and Cables VisibleSwitch and Cables Visible
)

Determines whether or not the gadget (and any outgoing wires) will be rendered in Play Mode.
