A Bendy Rail is a special joint connector in LittleBigPlanet 3. They take the form of long, winding paths that extend through the layers, along which characters and objects can travel.
Usage and Behaviour
Bendy Rails are placed similarly to other joints, snapping onto the sides of any solid, thick-layer objects. Unlike other joints, however, they can be placed on their own with nothing supporting them.
When creating a new rail, pressing places a new node at the Popit Cursor's location, and move the current node through the layers — out and in respectively — while pressing deletes the most recently placed node. To commit the rail into the scene, either attach the last node to a physical object, or simply press to back out. Modifications to existing rails can be made using the Rail Editor tool.
As a physical connector between objects, it behaves similarly to a stiff Rod; objects are effectively glued to each other, and will never contract of extend beyond the physical distance between the rail's two ends, regardless of the rail's actual shape.
The main intended use of Bendy Rails is to allow characters and objects to travel along complex paths throughout a scene, via the Hook Hat and Hoverboard powerups, as well as the Rail Hook object.

Interacts with: Determines what entities are allowed to interact with this Bendy Rail. There are three options which can be turned On or Off independently of each other:

Visuals
Choose Material Choose a material from the Goodies Bag to use as a texture for the rail. If the chosen material has colour, brightness or animation speed tweaks, those will be displayed below. Note: The Camera Excluder, as well as any material that has no visuals aside from particle effects (Wind, Dust, Steam, etc) cannot be selected. |
Visible in Play Mode: ( ) Determines whether or not the object will be rendered in Play Mode. |
Endpoints Visible: ( ) Sets whether or not to render the connector pins at either end of the rail. |
