A Game Ender is a Global Tweaker gadget that immediately ends the level once activated.
Usage and Behaviour
When the Game Ender receives a digital ON signal in Play Mode, the level immediately ends. Depending on its settings, all players are either teleported to the Scoreboard (if there is one), or brought to the Feedback Screen as if they had lost all their lives. If there are multiple Scoreboards in the level, players will be sent to the oldest one.
Time Limit
In LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, it is possible to specify a Time Limit; rather than ending the game immediately when activated, a countdown appears in the top right of the screen, with the level ending once it hits 00:00. If the level already has a Time Limit actively counting down — whether set in Gameplay Controls or by another Game Ender — the most recently activated Game Ender will override whatever timer is currently running. For example, if the level has a native Time Limit of 30.0s, and a Game Ender with a Time Limit of 60.0s is activated, the Time Limit will be set to 60.0s and will count down from there. A Game Ender's Time Limit can also be set to Infinity by pressing while it is at 0.0s, in which case the Game Ender will clear any running Time Limit without actually ending the level.
Tweaks
Success: ( ) Sets whether or not activating this Game Ender counts as completing the level, and consequently, whether it should send players to the Scoreboard. |
Ends the Adventure: ( ) If the level is part of an Adventure, and if the Success tweak is also Yes, the Adventure itself will be marked as completed when activated, indicated by an "Adventure Finished" message on the Feedback Screen. |
LBPV Only
Time Limit: (0.0s - 108,000.0s) If set to a non-zero value, a timer will appear in the top right of the screen when activated, with the level ending once it hits 00:00. Pressing while at 0.0s sets it to Infinity. |
LBPK Only
Failure Message: (text field; 30 characters) If the Success tweak is No, this allows a custom message to be displayed upon triggering the Game Ender; a generic "Try Again" message will be shown if this field is left empty. |
AI Can Trigger: ( ) If set to Yes, signals created by any driver in the game (including bots) can trigger the Game Ender. Otherwise, only signals created by human players can set it off. |
Visuals
Visible in Play Mode: ( ) Determines whether or not the object will be rendered in Play Mode. |
