The Wilderness is the eighth and final theme of the original LittleBigPlanet, and home of the Collector. The theme is based around the Siberian tundras of north Asia and Russia.

Overview

The Wilderness serves as the climax to LittleBigPlanet's story mode and contains among the most complex, punishing levels in the game.

Plot overview

The Great Magician teleports Sackboy to the Wilderness, where the Collector has stolen away LittleBigPlanet's many creations that Sackboy finds and frees. Fortified behind his bunker, war factory, and lair, the Collector and Sackboy finally meet face to face, engaging in a final battle. Once the Collector's machines are defeated, he flees from Sackboy, cowering as he admits his loneliness amongst the rest of LittleBigPlanet's inhabitants. The creator curators emerge, welcoming the Collector into their community.

The Collector is the main antagonist of LittleBigPlanet, and the creator curator of the Wilderness. A small and cunning curator, the Collector steals away Craftworld's many creations to fulfill his selfish desires. After remaining hidden for much of the story mode, he reveals himself in the Collector, where he faces off against Sackboy in a final battle.
