Meerkat Bounce is the sole survival challenge level in The Savannah.
Overview
The level's gimmick consists of bouncing on a group of eight meerkats - which bounce the player upwards when the player lands on any one of them - as Score Bubbles pass over, which the player is encouraged to grab to up their score. Fiery hazards are on both sides of the meerkats, potentially discouraging the player from going too far away when trying to collect the bubbles.
As the challenge goes on, fiery coals similar in size to the Score Bubbles appear, and fire-spewing plants later appear, which open their mouths and cause a fiery projectile to dangle (and also close their mouths) at a set interval; the player must dodge these hazards to keep raising their score, otherwise they will die and the challenge will end.
