The Collector is the main antagonist of LittleBigPlanet, and the creator curator of the Wilderness. A small and cunning curator, the Collector steals away Craftworld's many creations to fulfill his selfish desires.
History
LittleBigPlanet
The Collector makes his first appearance in LittleBigPlanet, serving as a twist antagonist for the game's finale. Despite largely showing up toward the end of the Story Mode, The Collector appears frequently throughout the prior areas, almost always taking a Curator or creation with him. The Collector's plot remains hidden until it being uncovered by The Great Magician, who sends Sackboy to The Wilderness to infiltrate The Collector's lair and free the many creations trapped within. When The Collector's attempts to destroy Sackboy fail, he reveals his envy for the rest of LittleBigPlanet's community. Despite his previous actions, the Creator Curators don't hesitate to let him join in spreading creativity.
LittleBigPlanet 2
The Collector makes a brief cameo in LittleBigPlanet 2, in the level Patients Are A Virtue. He, along with various other Creator Curators, are locked up in Eve's Asylum to treat the effects of The Negativitron's Meanies.
LittleBigPlanet 3
The Collector makes another cameo in LittleBigPlanet 3 as one of Newton Pud's many half-baked invention mimics.
The Journey Home
The Collector has a small role in The Journey Home as one of the guests for Sackboy's reunion party.
General information
Physical appearance
The Collector is a small, simplistic cardboard creature with tiny limbs and large facial features. His eyebrows are usually turned downwards to resemble a menacing grimace, with his eyes outlined by black gears. Although The Collector is capable of moving on his own, he primarily uses his metallic Pod, which is capable of both ground and air travel.
Personality
The Collector is driven by his loneliness and isolation from the rest LittleBigPlanet's community to go out and steal it all for himself. When the rest of the Curators give him the opportunity to join them, he quickly takes the opportunity, leaving his antagonistic ways behind.
