A Kartinator is a Kart Tweaker gadget in LittleBigPlanet Karting that allows specific kart actions to be triggered via logic gadgets. It is often used in conjunction with a Kart Controlinator to remap the driving controls.

Usage

Placement

A Kartinator can only be placed on Spawn Points, or inside a microchip that has been placed onto a Spawn Point. It affects whichever kart spawns there in Play Mode.

Tweaks

Actions

The following tweak is accessed by tweaking the Kartinator's circuit board, rather than the Kartinator itself.

Engine Input: ( Normal •‎ Always On •‎ Hop •‎ Brake •‎ Steering •‎ Spin •‎ Weapons •‎ Secondary •‎ Ability •‎ Look Back •‎ Left / Right •‎ Up / Down ) Determines which action will rev the kart's engine when held. Normal The engine functions as normal. Always On The engine is always on. Hop The engine runs whenever the kart is airborne. Brake The engine runs whenever the kart is moving backwards. Steering The engine runs whenever the driver steers left or right. Spin The engine runs whenever the driver spins their kart. Weapons The engine briefly runs whenever the driver attempts to fire a weapon. Secondary The engine runs whenever the driver aims their weaponator behind them. Ability The engine runs when the driver has a powerup and holds to use its ability. Look Back The engine runs whenever the driver looks behind them. Left / Right The engine runs whenever the kart's left/right input is held. Up / Down The engine runs whenever the kart's up/down input is held.

Behavior

Control Available If Not Connected: ( No •‎ Yes ) If enabled, any action whose input is not wired will work as normal. Otherwise, an action must be connected in order to function.

Visuals

Show circuit board: ( No •‎ Yes ) Determines whether or not the Kartinator shows its circuit board.
