The Powerup Remover, known as the Enhancement Remover in the original LittleBigPlanet, is a type of Powerup Pedestal that is used to strip characters of whatever powerup they have equipped. Originally introduced as part of Creator Pack 1, the object was later renamed in LittleBigPlanet 2 and has been included in the default toolset of every game since.

Usage and Behaviour

The Powerup Remover pedestal occupies one layer, but its range of effect spans five layers. When a player or Sackbot runs through it or passes within two adjacent layers of it, any powerup they have equipped will automatically be removed.

In LittleBigPlanet Karting, the Powerup Remover can strip drivers of their Grapple Hooks and Grabinators, but it will not remove Weaponators or cancel the effects of the Jetpack.

In LittleBigPlanet 3, the pedestal cannot remove items from the player's Sackpocket, but it can still de-equip powerups that have been equipped through it.

Early Variant

An early variant of the Enhancement Remover exists; instead of a Red Cross, it uses a Green Recycle symbol.

Bugs

In LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet 3, gadgets placed directly onto the pedestal lose the ability to be tweaked until they are detached again.
