Yukiko is a girl outfit that appeared in the original LittleBigPlanet. The outfit consists of a Japanese sailor fuku uniform, pink string hair, and happy eyes.
Costume pieces
The main outfit set can be found in the Gardens and the Metropolis. The Happy Eyes can be earned as a level complete gift in Get a Grip, the School Girl Dress as a level complete gift in Lowrider, and the Pink Hair Wig from a prize bubble in Subway.
Cut content
An earlier, darker-colored hairpiece exists, alongside a pleated skirt lacking a uniform; both recovered from the TGS Move Demo prototype. A sparkly pair of eyes was also intended for the costume but has not been recovered yet and is only seen in pre-release media and referenced in the art folder in the Sackboy's Big Move prototype build.
History
This outfit was originally designed for the cut Japanese Akihabara theme, but had its pieces recycled and placed in various levels throughout LittleBigPlanet's story mode. During development, the outfit-specific hair and yet unrecovered eye costume pieces were cut and replaced with the generic pink hair wig and happy eyes. The skirt is the only remaining asset specific to Yukiko but was expanded into a full uniform.
Despite the fact the outfit did not completely reappear in LittleBigPlanet PSP, featured in the game are the original School Girl Hair and Cute Eyes intended for the Yukiko outfit. This oddity is likely the result of LittleBigPlanet PSP development alongside the original LittleBigPlanet, and as such led to multiple assets cut from the original remaining in LittleBigPlanet PSP, albeit compressed to fit the latter's art style and graphical limitations.
