Into The Heart Of The Negativitron is the fifth and final main level of the Cosmos, and the final level of LittleBigPlanet 2's story mode.
Overview
Plot overview
The Alliance, followed by their army of Sackbots, makes the final journey up to the heart of the Negativitron. Moments before the Alliance can strike the killing blow, the Negativitron ambushes the army, sending in a swarm of meanie reinforcements. As the Sackbot army fights back against the threat, the Negativitron threatens the consequences of its destruction on the Alliance, for which it blames its creation on the negative traits of each creator curator. The Negativitron's heart sinks deeper into the planet, and the Alliance fights their way downward in pursuit of it.
Walkthrough guide
In the first phase of the battle, Sackboy is seated in the Hamstertron 2000 and must hit the creature brains on each side of the Negativitron's head while avoiding the beam it fires from its mouth; two ramps are at both sides of the arena to help Sackboy reach the creature brains. Hitting five brains on the Negativitron's head causes it to retreat, and Sackboy must advance through downward tunnels to start phase 2 of the fight, losing the Hamstertron 2000 and gaining a Grappling Hook.
In the second phase of the fight, Sackboy lands on a mobile platform controlled by Clive Handforth and Avalon Centrifuge, and the Negativitron reappears to suck up debris. When the Bounce Pads on the mobile platform activate, Sackboy must use the Grappling Hook to swing between the platforms the Negativitron sucks up, which have three Score Bubbles atop them and award 50 points when landing on their Bounce Pads. After an interval, Dr. Herbert Higginbotham arrives, piloting a Bee 2.0 and firing a rocket into the Negativitron's mouth, causing it to stop sucking up everything in its path and allowing Sackboy to use the platforms to reach the creature brain on its head. After this happens four times, the Negativitron retreats again, and the floor below delethalizes, requiring Sackboy to advance through a set of downward tunnels again to start the third phase.
The third phase consists of Sackboy needing to evade the Negativitron's constant beams in the style of a retro/arcade game, the beams getting progressively bigger and harder to avoid as it goes on. The Negativitron eventually slams onto one side of the arena, with either Larry Da Vinci or Victoria Von Bathysphere (depending on which side the Negativitron slams onto) tossing a cake to Sackboy to hit the Negativitron's creature brains.
Once the Negativitron is hit three times in the third phase, Sackboy can now defeat it for good by destroying the creature brain atop its heart, destroying the Negativitron and completing the fight.
