Introduction is the first level and opening credits of LittleBigPlanet 2's story mode. Beginning immediately upon loading a new profile, it teaches players about the fundamental platforming mechanics and the story mode's plot.
Overview
Walkthrough Guide
The level opens with a brief cutscene where Sackboy is assembled in a flash of colorful images before falling past a credits sign for Media Molecule, after which the player gains control. Using 
allows the player to advance onwards, where they're met by a menagerie of technological and handcrafted imagery. By pressing 
, the player can overcome a small incline before encountering the game's first bounce pad, as well as a rotating list of the game's developers.
Past the Bounce Pad is a Tutorial TV that teaches the player about their Popit, as well as how to customize their Sackperson. What proceeds is a large series of set pieces containing various other developers for the game, as well as some basic platforming challenges. Another Tutorial TV follows, teaching the player about Acting. Proceeding right brings the player to tree-adorned hills inhabited by a few towers. The music fades to ambient noise, and the level returns to a cutscene.
The sky quickly shifts from a sunny gold to an imposing pink as everything around the player is torn up from the surface. The shot pans upwards to reveal the game's main antagonist, the Negativitron, sucking up the contents of Introduction. Before the player can be consumed, a mechanical claw pursues and collects them.

It's not always the done thing to gad about the LittleBigPlanet surface as naked as the day you were stitched… Sometimes you need to be a formal freddy. Using costumes in LittleBigPlanet is as simple as getting dressed. In fact it's even easier than the 'Sniff it, bin it or wear it' system. Press the MENU button to access your POPIT, and use the LEFT STICK to browse the various icons. Press ACTION to choose one. Choose the CUSTOMIZE CHARACTER menu to fling wide the wardrobe doors. Now, your LEFT STICK allows you to browse materials, garments, colors, and even entire off the peg ensembles. Press the ACTION BUTTON to robe yourself in finery, or cloak yourself in shame, depends on your fashion sense one supposes. To get out of POPIT just press the BACK BUTTON to return to the MAIN MENU, and press it again to close it completely. There's life in the old togs yet.

Always remember to utilize your thespianic melodramaticon visuali, that's your facial expressions - if you're not a fluffy actor type. There's a whole range of expressions available! The DIRECTIONAL BUTTONS on the controller are your pastels, and your fingers the brushes, so paint the face you want. Press UP for a big beamy smile, or DOWN for a frown. Press the LEFT button to show fear, and the RIGHT button to get tough. Ooh, ready to get medieval on someone's bottom are you? You can also get jiggy and shake your sack booty by waving the WIRELESS CONTROLLER around! Press in the LEFT STICK to switch between controlling your head, and your pelvis. Hold down the LIMB BUTTONS and use the STICKS to control your arms. My my, you really are a mover and a shaker aren't you. Most stylish.
