LittleBigPlanet is the first world in LittleBigPlanet Karting's story mode. Its setting is comprised of worlds from the first half of the original LittleBigPlanet's story, with particular emphasis on the Gardens.

Plot

One afternoon, the inhabitants of Craftworld were minding their own business, until the Hoard roll in on their karts; too fast to be caught on-foot, they begin stealing everything not glued to the ground - including the King - reducing the once picturesque, hand-crafted village to a barren, hilly wasteland. One Hoardling meets their untimely demise after crashing into a tree, which allows Sackboy to commandeer the now-unoccupied Hoard kart. Thus begins his quest to rid the Imagisphere of the Hoard and reclaim their stolen goods.

After getting a handle on his new trolley, Sackboy meets the Queen, who informs him that the Hoard have been causing trouble across Craftworld. She then gives Sackboy a series of tests in the Gardens, the Wedding and the Canyons to prove his worth as the champion to liberate the Imagisphere from the greedy grabbing menace.
