The King is a major character in LittleBigPlanet, and the Creator Curator of The Gardens.
History
LittleBigPlanet
The King is the first Creator Curator Sackboy meets. He greets them at the beginning of First Steps, and introduces the scoreboard at the end of the level. He also appears at the end of Get a Grip and Skate to Victory, where he gives Sackboy a submarine to The Savannah.
He appears again in The Wilderness, where he is freed after being captured by The Collector (Creator Curator). After The Collector admits he stole everything because he didn't have any friends, The King tells him the LittleBigPlanet Community will be his friends.
LittleBigPlanet 2
The King appears as a cameo in the Eve's Asylum level Patients Are A Virtue. His appearance is slightly altered. He has a longer beard, a frown, and white clothes.
LittleBigPlanet 3
In The Great Escape, a Newton-built version of The King appears in the background of the Swoop section of the level.
LittleBigPlanet 3: The Journey Home
The third level of the DLC, Spring Time in the Gardens, takes place in The Gardens and The King makes several appearances. He greets Oddsock at the beginning of the level and gives him the Springinator. Later in the level, while your fighting a ghost, he flies down from above and destroys the ghost. He then presents Grandmaster Sensei's invitation to the party and tells you it's just around the corner.
In From Chaos to Cakes, The King welcomes Toggle, Oddsock, and Swoop to Craftworld and takes a picture with Sackboy and Toggle.
Seaside Surprise
A puppet version of The King appears in the level, hitting a puppet Collector with his scepter.
General information
Physical appearance
The King is primarily made of painted cardboard. He has a white face and hands, red cheeks, a green nose and brown hair. He's balding with a large beard and thick eyebrows. He wears red robes with purple accents, a golden crown and black shoes. He holds a golden scepter with a green gem at the end of it.
Personality
The King is very polite, speaking in a very grandiose, but polite manner.
Trivia
- The King's voice lines are labeled as "Uncle" in LBP Vita. This is consistent with the Queen, who is labeled as "Auntie."
