Save Costume is a Popit Function that saves the player's current costume to their profile to be worn later.

Tool Usage

The Save Costume Tool is part of the Costume Popit Functions and captures the current worn outfit to be used for later.

The function is found in the fifth tab of the Costumes page in LittleBigPlanet, and by pressing Cross button on the icon, all things (costume pieces, stickers, decorations) on the player will be captured into the Popit Costumes page, to be worn at a later date. It functions virtually the same way as a saved object, complete with the ability to rename your costume, add a description, and in later games, assign it to a Popit Category.

Save Limits

In the initial release of the original LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet Portable, the player can save up to 100 costumes on their profile. Starting with the Leerdammer update, the limit was doubled to 200 costumes, which was carried forward to future games.

In Sackboy: A Big Adventure, the player can save up to 30 costumes.

Changes in Later Games

LittleBigPlanet 2

In LittleBigPlanet 2, the costumes page was moved from the fifth to the first page, meaning the Save Tool was also moved for easier, and quicker access.

LittleBigPlanet Karting

In LittleBigPlanet Karting, the Save Tool is only accessible while in the Pod (along with Character Customization page), and cannot be used in Create Mode or Play Mode.

LittleBigPlanet 3

In LittleBigPlanet 3, costume saving was updated to be able to sort a costume into a category the player has made themself. This allows to easily organize saved costumes.

Custom costumes will only appear in the Popit whilst playing as the character they were made for, e.g. OddSock costumes will only appear when playing as OddSock, or when changing an OddSock Sackbot's costume. Despite this, all five character types share the same saved costume limit;.
