The UV Tool is a Popit function that adjusts the visual appearance of Procedural Materials.

Tool Usage

The UV Tool can be used to move and rotate a material's texture without physically moving the object. It is intended to be used with Procedural Materials, and cannot be used on objects that use a model to display themselves to the screen. In LittleBigPlanet 3, it can be used on Slides and Bendy Rails.

With the UV Tool selected, hover over the object you wish to adjust, and press Cross button to edit it. The UVs for the material can now be moved around with Left stick, and rotated by holding left or right with Right stick (Left or Right buttons in LittleBigPlanet Karting). Pressing Triangle button will reset the position, rotation, and scale of the material UVs to their base positions at (0,0).

In LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet 3, the UV Tool can scale the material's texture by holding up or down on Right stick.

Once done, pressing Circle button will deselect the object and confirm the edited UVs.
