History

LittleBigPlanet

In The Dancers' Court, The Goddess first pleads to travel to The Great Magician's palace beyond the elephant temple, to help bring sharing back to Craftworld. The Shopkeeper refers to him again in Elephant Temple, warning the player to stay cautious and make safe passage to The Magician's abode. In Great Magician's Palace, the Emitter guru challenges the player to face his dangerous palace to be worthy of a final quest. Upon completing the level, The Magician explains that The Collector is stealing the creations of LittleBigPlanet and not sharing anything. He pleads the player stop his efforts, and uses his mystical abilities to teleport the player instantly to The Wilderness.

In The Frozen Tundra, a bear claims that The Magician foretold the player's arrival, and begs to help save his family from The Collector. Much later in the thick of The Collector's Lair, The Great Magician can be saved from a cage that he teleports out of anyway.

LittleBigPlanet 3

The Great Magician makes a minor appearance in the Challenge level Now You See Me…. using his magic cup to block off the Scoreboard before two loops of the course are completed.

General information

Physical appearance

The Great Magician's skin is varying shades of blue, contrasting with a golden yellow vest that stops at his hips. His arms are long and spindly, with sparkly bangles at his wrists. The Great Magician's legs are draped in tiger-striped palazzo pants and he wears no shoes. A necklace is strung around his neck below a jewel earing dangling from his ear. He has no visible hair other than a small pink tuft of it on his chin. If he does have any hair, it's hidden beneath a green scaly turban wrapped just over his magic eyes.

Personality

The Magician is not heard from much, otherwise being all-knowing and wise. He is the first one to directly mention The Collector's plot and possesses magical knowledge that differentiates him from other Creators.
