This page is a tad short. A stub, if you will.
You can help by expanding the article with more information.

To do: think of something mildly witty to put in here.

To do:

  • Better descriptions for some of the tweaks.
  • Colour tweak needs to be added.

Overview

The Music Sequencer is a unique type of Music Object and derivative of the regular Sequencer introduced in LittleBigPlanet 2 that allows players to create their own custom tracks in-game with an interface not too dissimilar to a DAW.

Usage and behaviour

Music Sequencers function similarly to their unmusical counterpart. Pressing R1 while hovering over the gadget will reveal a circuit board that can be separated into lanes depending on the Number of Volume Sliders tweak, but it can be of any size. Instruments are placed on top of the circuit board like gadgets on a Microchip. There are 42 Music Sequencer Instruments for use by default, with additional ones being added in the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack and Seaside Surprise Level Kit DLC.

Hovering over a Music Sequencer while trying to place a sticker will make the camera zoom in on it (in the same fashion as stickering the player) to allow users to make their own cover art. This is only possible in Create mode.

Tweaks

Sequencer Name: (text field; 256 characters)
Sets a name for the Music Sequencer. If it is captured directly, this name will be used instead of the default "Some kind of object".

Volume

Number of Volume Sliders: (1 - 6)
The amount of volume sliders to give to this track, allowing for Interactive Tracks to be made. This will visually add lanes to the circuit board, and will try to make all of them the same size depending on the circuit board's height.
Channel 1: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the first channel.
Channel 2: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the second channel, if it's enabled.
Channel 3: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the third channel, if it's enabled.
Channel 4: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the fourth channel, if it's enabled.
Channel 5: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the fifth channel, if it's enabled.
Channel 6: (0% - 100%)
The volume of the sixth channel, if it's enabled.

Trigger

Trigger Radius: (0.0 - 5,000.0)
Determines how close the player needs to be in order to activate the sequencer.

The volume of the echoes.
