Plasma Tool
Popit Function
Type: Hazard Tool
Games: LittleBigPlanet 2,
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita,
LittleBigPlanet 3

The Plasma Tool is a Danger Tool that coats objects with lethal plasma.

While Plasma hazards exist in the original LittleBigPlanet in the form of the Metal Gear Solid Pack's Plasma bullets, it would not be given a corresponding Danger Tool until LittleBigPlanet 2.

Tool Usage

The Plasma Tool can be used on any object or material in any layer, as long as it has a hitbox. Hover over the item you wish to lethalise, and press Cross button.
A plasmafied object can be unlethalised by either using the Plasma Tool on it again, or using the Unlethalise Tool.

Hazard

Player Contact

When a player makes contact with the hazard, they will be vaporised instantly, with a color effect based on the plasma color.

Player Ownership

Starting in LittleBigPlanet 2, plasma has a special relation with Player Ownership, where lethalised objects will not kill the player or team that owns them; they can safely walk on top of it, but cannot jump, wall jump, or change layers whilst standing on it; they also cannot grab the object, even if it is made of a grabbable material. It is possible to bypass the jumping restriction if the object is Attractive, whether by having an active Attract-O-Tweaker on it, or simply being made of Attract-O-Gel.

This property applies to the Versus and unused Team Versus game modes. It also applies to the Cut Scene game mode, but since this mode prevents players from spawning, it can only be observed in Create Mode.

Tweaks

Visual Colour: (Colour Wheel)
Sets the object's colour, and in turn, the colour of the Plasma effect. This option appears even in cases where the object is otherwise not tweakable by itself.

Determines whether or not to play the hazard's ambient sound loops. Sound effects caused by a Sackthing colliding with the hazard are unaffected by this tweak.
