A Goal is a waypoint object in LittleBigPlanet Karting that awards points when a kart drives into it.

Usage and Behaviour

Goals have three visual variants, though the differences are mostly cosmetic. All three have large glowing arrows that hover above them, making them easier to locate from a distance.

Goals have one input and one output each; a Goal is always active by default, but if a wire is connected to its input, it will be deactivated until it receives a signal. Once it receives a signal, it will appear in the scene and remain visible until a kart drives through it, after which it sends a digital ON signal through its output for one frame, and then disappears until it receives another signal.

When a kart drives into a Goal, it awards a set number of points, activates whatever is connected to its output, and then disappears. Goals are updated for every player at once, so if one player drives into a Goal, the other players cannot collect it themselves until it re-activates.
