Dephysicalise Tool
Popit Function
Developer Exclusive: Yes (LBP2)
No (LBPV/LBP3)
Type: Material Tool
Games: LittleBigPlanet 2,
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita,
LittleBigPlanet 3

The Dephysicalise Tool, known as Unphysicalise in LittleBigPlanet 2, is a Popit Function that removes collision from most objects.

Tool Usage

With the Dephysicalise Tool selected, highlight an object and press Cross button to dephysicalise it; this will remove its collision, causing it to phase through objects, players, and even the level's boundaries. Dephysicalised objects will appear transparent while the tool is selected; pressing Cross button on an already-dephysicalised object will restore its tangibility, making it solid again (if applicable).

History

The Unphysicalise Tool was initially a developer exclusive tool, and is inaccessible in LittleBigPlanet 2 without modifications.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita was the first game to make it accessible to regular players, where it was rechristened the Dephysicalise Tool and given unique sound effects when applying/removing the effect. It was later carried forward to LittleBigPlanet 3, albeit with different sound effects.
