The Boombox Model of this Track Type is much more simple than the rest, matching LBP2's plastic designs but being orange in color, replacing the speaker/slider designs entirely with the depiction of a theatre mask, the mask is split in half with comedy in white and tragedy in black. This design persists throughout the franchise.

The Boombox design this time around matches the rest of the LBP2 Music Object designs with a dark purple color, having a cool light-up pad of buttons that blink in a pattern with four rows of three to create this technological feel. It also has four smaller buttons at the bottom, the first of which being red, while the other three are blue.

Music Tracks in the LittleBigPlanet Game Series are both vast and unique in both genres and quality, consisting of multiple Licensed Tracks of a wide variety and Original Tracks created by music artists hired by Media Molecule and Sumo Digital. Many Tracks can be obtained within your Popit by playing and discovering Prize Bubbles within various Story Levels and DLC Levels obtained from Downloadable Content. However, there are also many Tracks that became unreleased or had been entirely scrapped.

Once you obtain the Music Tracks from your adventures, you can take it back into Create Mode where you can use your Music Tracks as much as you'd like, with various tweak settings such as Track Volume, Start Points, Trigger Radius, Layer Detection Range and Visibility. Although the Tweak Settings differentiate when you reach other Track Types such as Interactive Tracks, Cinematic Tracks and Sequenced Tracks which have many more options to choose from. Each Track from the three main titles are carried over, however the same cannot be said for various spin-offs.

Linear Tracks

Introduced within the original LittleBigPlanet, Linear Music Tracks are songs that have a linear slider path, and cannot be interchanged with various instruments and segments. These tracks usually consist of both Licensed Tracks from various artists and Original Tracks created for the franchise. Linear Tracks have various Fixed Boombox Models when comparing the original LittleBigPlanet to LittleBigPlanet 2 and onward, such as a Wooden Boombox with a skinny handle and metallic speaker mesh for LBP1, and a blue more plastic-like boombox with a round-set of holes creating a speaker shape in LBP2 and beyond respectively.

Interactive Tracks

Interactive Music Tracks were introduced within the original LittleBigPlanet, along with the Linear Track Type, all of which are Original Tracks composed for the franchise, with notable figures such as Mat Clark, Kenneth Young, Winifred Phillips, Richard Jacques and many more. Each Interactive Track have an interesting slider mixing system that can mix various instrument segments of the song together; being very useful for either putting it on full blast or slowly building up the parts of the Track you want. Most Interactive Tracks have around six sliders each, though the amount of sliders may vary. Interactive Cinematic Tracks also exist, though they are sorted as Cinematic Tracks.

The Interactive Boombox Model also changes between LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2. The original model looking much like its Linear Counterpart, but has a set of tuning knobs at the bottom of the device. The LBP2 counterpart shares a similar plastic aesthetic as its Linear variant, but is now yellow and green, replacing the speaker design with a pair of three sliders.

Cinematic Tracks

Introduced in LittleBigPlanet 2, Cinematic Tracks function a lot like Linear Tracks. They have a linear path and mostly have the same tweaks, including a singular audio slider, though some Cinematic Tracks can be Interactive. The main difference is the lack of the Start Points setting, due to the audio itself being very short. Cinematic Tracks were intended to be used within cutscenes and more cinematic moments, hence the name. This Track Type comprises of Original Tracks, a majority of which were composed by Paul Thomson, though there are few created by other artists as well. However, Licensed Cinematic Tracks were introduced within LittleBigPlanet 3 Downloadable Content such as the Adventure Time Level Kit and Back To The Future Level Kit.

Sequenced Tracks

A complex music creation system made for LittleBigPlanet 2, Sequenced Tracks are unique to where you can create various beats and tunes using the Sequencer Instruments and the Music Sequencer Sound Object, with its instrument selection being further expanded in many pieces of Downloadable Content. This super customizable object allows you to set the Sequencer Name, the amount of Slider Mixers from one to six and Trigger Radius. This also includes various Behaviors like Tempo, Swing and Looping, and different Effects such as Echo Time, Echo Feedback, Echo Mix and Reverb Settings. The Music Sequencer specifically has its own Logic Board you can use, which functions fairly similar to the normal Sequencer Logic Container.

The Boombox design this time around matches the rest of the LBP2 Music Object designs with a dark purple color, having a light-up pad of buttons that blink in a pattern with four rows of three to create this technological feel. It also has four smaller buttons at the bottom, the first of which being red, while the other three are blue.
