The LittleBigPlanet 3 2014-09-24 "QA" prototype, revision 644592, is a prototype of LittleBigPlanet 3 for the PlayStation 3 that was released to the public on April 20, 2021 as part of the Dreamiverse Mega Release 2021. It is a European Quality Assurance build that was compiled 19 days before the final retail version.

The game is mostly complete at this point, with numerous minor differences throughout the Adventure Mode. There are a handful of assets not found in the final game, including several cut Pins. Additionally, the contents of the mcBess Sticker Pack are present in this build, which wouldn't be made available in the retail version until 2017.

Comparisons

  • CPU/GPU debug displays are always active.
  • When leaving a level, the game still slowly fades to white, rather than immediately cutting to the loading screen like in the final game.
  • There is no animation or sound event when changing characters, though unlike previous builds, the game no longer hangs while loading the new character.
  • The Hook Hat's axle decal is always visible in Play Mode, and floats above the wearer's head when they are not attached to a rail.
  • Magic Mouth subtitles which are split across multiple bubbles advance quicker than they should.

Adventure Mode

Bunkum Lagoon

Zom Zom's Shop

  • Zom Zom's Shops have a single Collectabell next to the Level Link, which awards 100 Collectabells when picked up, most likely for testing purposes.
    • In the Ziggurat Shop, this Collectabell is coloured green.
  • In the Manglewood Shop, the label for OddSock's Pug costume has a different render.

Videos and Tutorials

  • The scee.bik video uses a different font for the "Sony Computer Entertainment presents" text.
  • The Attract Mode video that plays when the game is left idle is taken from LittleBigPlanet 2.
  • With the exception of the Popit Puzzles (which use their respective level badges), all of the tutorials use the Acting video's thumbnail from LittleBigPlanet 2 as a placeholder.
  • A "Publishing" tutorial can be found sandwiched between the "How To Play" and "Popit Puzzles" categories. Playing it just brings up the "Stickers: Camera" tutorial.
