The Wall Jump Surface is a special material from the DC Comics Premium Level Kit that allows Sackboy to cling onto and jump off of walls made from it.
This material's wall jump properties and special effects can be adjusted and applied to any object in the game using the Wall Jump Material Tweaker.
Behaviour
When a Sackthing jumps into a Wall Jump Surface, they will cling onto the wall and begin to slide down it. While on a wall, the player can push up or down to increase or decrease their sliding speed, and press
to jump away from the wall. Sackthings will automatically detach from a Wall Jump surface if they reach the floor, encounter an obtuse angle in the material's geometry, the wall gets pulled away from them, they attempt to grab something with
, or they equip a Jetpack.
In LittleBigPlanet 3, OddSock is the only character besides Sackboy that can interact with Wall Jump Surfaces.
Like other tweakable materials, the Wall Jump Surface has a power input which, in addition to controlling its colour and brightness, is used to turn the material's Wall Jump property on or off. Regardless of what the Input Action is set to, the Wall Jump property only responds to digital signals, turning on when it receives an ON signal, and off when that signal turns OFF.
