Mona was a minor cut character intended for LittleBigPlanet 2. Mona's role in LittleBigPlanet 2's early storyline was to act as an assistant and spy for Avalon Centrifuge; she was removed after Avalon was written out of the antagonistic role.

Overview

Mona is credited as one of Avalon Centrifuge's few personal inventions - a fact verified by Larry Da Vinci. Mona would have appeared sparsely throughout LittleBigPlanet 2's story mode as a supporting character to Avalon, where she would have aided him in supervising the Alliance's progress. Additionally, Mona may have originally guided the player through sections of Avalonia. Her use as a spy for Avalon was to be shown at the end of Eve's Asylum, where she would have relayed footage of Dr. Herbert Higginbotham exposing the truth behind Avalon back to him.

In certain early cutscenes, Mona is depicted as a cutout of the Robot Mona Lisa sticker. Having made it to the release build of the game, this sticker is the only remaining asset related to her.

General information

Physical appearance

Mona is a spherical surveillance camera mounted on a flat, robotic body sporting her name in stylized letters; a brown shell surrounds her head, resembling bob-cut hair. The center of Mona's "eye" glows from within its aperture.

Personality

Despite having minimal dialogue aside from robotic beeps and whirrs, Mona was meant to play off of Avalon in conversation, while also doing his bidding.
