LittleBigPlanet Newsdesk, also referred to as LittleBigPlanet News, was a series of 6 promotional videos uploaded online, designed to inform about content releases and community events around the original LittleBigPlanet and, later, LittleBigPlanet PSP and LittleBigPlanet 2.
About
LittleBigPlanet Newsdesk was designed as an informative series of videos based around the original LittleBigPlanet. Each video spanned roughly a minute to two minutes in length, and covered teasers, content releases, and community creations recognized by developers. The videos starred Sackboy, typically sporting a moustache and dressed in a pair of glasses and a tie; seated behind a news desk, he provided speech bubble narrations over the video's contents. The videos used 3-D animation for the majority of their segments, and as such the videos featured certain set pieces and costumes unobtainable in-game.
The series ran from 14 August 2009 to 27 August 2010 before being discontinued leading up to the release of LittleBigPlanet 2.
