Build Chronology
Move Beta 'Justice League' build

LittleBigPlanet 2 was one of several titles to be featured in a series of PlayStation Move Demo Discs for the PlayStation 3, which were included with various PlayStation Move controller bundles in North America. This demo, showcasing story levels from the LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack, is known to be in two of these demo discs.

PlayStation Move Demo Disc Volume 2 contains a bespoke Interactive Demo to showcase the motion controller, as well playable demos for Carnival Island, echochrome ii, Hustle Kings, Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest, NBA 2K12, PlayStation Move Ape Escape, PlayStation Move Heroes, Sports Champions, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, Top Spin 4, and of course LittleBigPlanet 2. Also on the disc are screenshots and trailers for all of the aforementioned games, plus EyePet & Friends.

PlayStation Move Demo Disc Volume 3 once again contained the LittleBigPlanet 2 demo, but this time it was accompanied by playable demos for Everybody Dance, Grand Slam Tennis 2, MIB: Alien Crisis, Ninja Gaiden 3, PixelJunk 4am, Sorcery and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13. The disc also contained trailers and screenshots for all the aforementioned games, plus Datura, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, LittleBigPlanet Karting, MLB 12: The Show, Sports Champions 2, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Unfinished Swan.

Overview

The demo begins in Make The First Move, where player is prompted to plug in and calibrate a PlayStation Move controller. From there, they play through Welcome To The Valley Of The Sackbots and all of its sub-levels before being sent to the Pod.

Each time the player returns to the Pod — whether by completing a level or quitting part-way through — the player is shown a promotional trailer for the Move Pack, followed by a list of features that can be found in the full version. Afterwards, the player can select one of three levels to play: Make The First Move, Welcome To The Valley Of The Sackbots, and The Tail Of Claude The Field Mouse. Despite the player receiving their Level Keys, Jam Kerblam and Fast Food are not playable in this demo. It is not possible to back out to the main menu or walk around the Pod; these levels are all that can be accessed through normal means. Furthermore, the demo does not save or load user profiles, so all progress is lost when quitting the game.

When left idle in the Pod, the game cycles through five videos: the Move Pack's Features trailer, the base game's Adventure trailer, the Move Pack's Story trailer, a community content showcase, and a Create Mode demonstration video — the latter two originate from the base game's PlayStation Network demo.
