Dr. Jekyll was a cut story character intended for LittleBigPlanet 2, and the creator curator of the Popov Factory theme. A parody of the characters of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Jekyll's alter ego was conceptualized as Monster Hyde.

Physical appearance

In his concept model and early sketch, Dr. Jekyll is depicted as a robotic machine composed of a conical metal shell on a box-like body supported atop two thin legs; two disproportionately long, claw-tipped arms extend from his torso. Dr. Jekyll's face is decorated with various metal ornaments, with a nut and screw-head for eyes, a bronze scroll wheel for a nose, and a dark brown pipe resembling a moustache wrapping around his head. Dr. Jekyll wears a spike-topped copper pipe designed after a stovepipe hat, and his torso is painted red with gold buttons as though dressed in uniform.
