To do: There is so much that needs done.
- Every level is different; many are unfinished greyboxes, while others have significant layout differences.
- A ton of sound effects were changed, and everything related to music is completely different, including implementation and the songs used throughout.
- Create Mode is very different, with many visible remnants from ModNation Racers.
- Unfinished/broken costumes.
- Unused content, including possible leftovers from ModNation Racers 2.
The LittleBigPlanet Karting 2011-08-15 prototype, dubbed "Milestone 4", is a prototype of LittleBigPlanet Karting for the PlayStation 3 that was released on December 25, 2023, as part of the Imagisphere 2023 Mega Release. The writing on the disc claims a date of August 30, 2011, though the disc's Primary Volume Descriptor — as well as the timestamp in USRDIR/DATA/DATESTAMP.DAT — suggests the build is actually from the 15th.
History
The BD-R disc containing this prototype of LittleBigPlanet Karting was found inside the disc drive of a PlayStation 3 development kit that had been acquired through an Obscure Gamers fundraiser in May 2022.[1] The disc was dumped by MysteriousCube and uploaded to the Internet Archive on December 25, 2023 as part of Imagisphere's 2023 Mega Release event.
