The LittleBigPlanet 2 (2011-09-29) Special Edition Demo is a post-release demo version of LittleBigPlanet 2 for the PlayStation 3. Made to promote the then-new Special Edition of the game, it was released for free onto the PlayStation Store on November 15, 2011,[1] and later featured in demo discs distributed by the Official UK PlayStation Magazine between January and April 2012.[note 1]
Overview
The demo begins with a modified version of the Introduction level, with the developer credits replaced with quotes from contemporary reviews of the game; pressing 
near these zooms in on the associated QR code, which can be scanned with a mobile device to visit the review from which the quote originated. The rest of the demo showcases Da Vinci's Hideout, which is otherwise unchanged from the retail game; players can access every level from the world up to (but not including) Final Test.
When left idle in the Pod, the game cycles through four videos: a story level showcase, a community level showcase, the Move Pack's Features trailer, and a Create Mode demonstration.
