Though the LittleBigPlanet servers were taken down at the start of this year due to attacks, some hope remained when it was mentioned that the community manager
Steven Isbell was going to be remaining to continue working on
server maintenence.
Today in a hastily put together
Twitter Post, the LittleBigPlanet twitter account has
officially confirmed that the LittleBigPlanet servers for PlayStation 4 are down for good.
This is disheartening news, but not unexpected given the costs of server operation. Players will still be able to access their locally stored content on the
PlayStation 4 version of the game despite the server shutdown, and
Custom Servers are popping up everywhere.
Alongside this news there have been some changes to the
Discord Server, including major layout changes.
This includes a new leveling system for image perms and some new channels as well.
As always, stay positive and look forward to more news from us in the future; we have some content planned that could brighten things up after such sad news.
