Clive Handforth is a major character in LittleBigPlanet 2, and the Creator Curator of The Factory of a Better Tomorrow.

History

LittleBigPlanet 2

Clive makes his first appearance here as a member of the Alliance. The Negativitron attacks his factory, and he assists Sackboy in rescuing the trapped Sackbots and restoring their minds.

LittleBigPlanet 3: The Journey Home

Clive is invited to the party. He guides Swoop to restore power to both sides of the Factory to end the lockdown and retrieve a lost invitation.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Clive makes a cameo inside a Dreamer Orb.

General information

Physical appearance

Clive is constructed of various office supplies. His head is a blue notepad folded open with a mustached face drawn on the front. His torso is an eraser, and his limbs are paper clips with paper for his hands and feet.

Personality

Clive is pessimistic, depressed, and fearful in the face of danger. Despite his fearfulness, he accompanies Sackboy and the rest of The Alliance on their mission. Due to the thriving state of the factory in The Journey Home, his core traits manifest as laziness and dullness.

Trivia

  • Clive says that he built his factory from the ground-up.
  • Clive was assembled out of a calendar in earlier builds of LittleBigPlanet 2. This is reflected by certain lines of dialogue and his factory producing calendars.
  • He had a robotic guard chicken named Copernicus.
