Slot Manager
To edit slots in Toolkit, you'll need to access the Slot Manager context menu.
You access it by right-clicking on an existing .pck, .slt or .adc file and selecting Edit Slots
The slot editing menus have several options, many of which control important functions.
- Details
- These control key features of slots which are essential.
- Name: The name which the level/group appears in the pod.
- Description: The description of the level/group that appears when the level is viewed in the pod.
- Icon: The icon that appears on the badge of the level/group.
- Creator: The name of the creator of the level/group.
- Translation Key: The translation key can be used to show the name and description if it is present in the language file.
- Data
- Root level: The guid of the level which will load when selected in the pod. (not required for groups)
- Adventure: The adventure of the level
- Slot ID
- Type: The type of slot that is being referenced such as an adventure, costume or level.
- Number: For resources, this must match the guid of the target. It does not affect groups.
- Group: This controls which group a sub group or resource is part of, an example is the bunker being a part of the Wilderness group.
- Link: This does not transport the player to another level, instead it unlocks a level or object.
- Settings
- Level Type: This is the type of level it is if it is a level. It does not affect groups or objects.
- Gamemode: This controls what type of level it is. LBP2/3 Only.
- Badge Size: How big the badge appears.
- Player Limit: Controls the minimum and maximum amount of players that can enter a level.
- Planet Decoration: The model which is used for the shape of the badge.
- Background GUID: The guid of the background which will be displayed while hovering over it in the pod. LBP2/3 only.
- Location: Where the level appears on the slot. You can even make it float.
- Flags: These indicate various properties of the the level such as whether it is locked or visible.
