Below are the details of the updates released for LittleBigPlanet (PlayStation 3). Starting with version 1.05, most of the patches released were named after different types of cheese.

- Fixed a bug introduced in 1.29 where levels containing the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus sound object would fail to load.

Version 1.21 "Leerdammer"

Additions
- As part of a save data rewrite, it is now possible to create back ups of user profiles and levels, which can be exported to (and imported from) the Save Data Utility.
- The Profile back up and import options can be found in the Profile Settings section of the Start Menu.
- To back up a level, go to the second page of the level's More section and select the new "Back up" option.
- To import a level, select an empty crater on My Moon and select the new "Import" option.
- Added an input to Checkpoints, which can be used to activated them using logic.
- Create Mode can now be accessed in online multiplayer sessions with up to three other players.
- When other players are off-screen, an icon appears next to their off-screen indicator showing what tools they are using.
- Only the host can use the Pause, unpause, undo and redo., however, other players can use to request these functions.
- Added a silver Sackboy medal to mark levels that have been played but not finished. This medal will turn gold once the level has been properly completed.
- Added the option to automatically reject join requests, accessible from Profile Settings section of the Start menu.
- Added the ability to search for levels unlocked through Level Keys.
- Added the QWERTY keyboard layout to the text entry menu.
Changes
- Play, Create, Share, scores have been removed from the InfoMoon.
- The way save data works has been rewritten.
- User profiles are now stored in the Game Data Utility instead of the Save Data Utility.
- The limits for how many photos and costumes can be saved has been doubled.
- Both the network code and matchmaking system have been rewritten to provide a smoother online experience.
- Pressing and while hovering the Sticker and Decoration Edit tool over Sackboy will rotate them 90 degrees.
- Sticker Switches have been made more noticable, and give better feedback to the player when attempting to palce stickers on them.
- If a Level Key has been collected in a community level, a cutscene of the level unlocking will be played when returning to the Pod.
- It is now possible to change the thickness of Race Gates again.
- Various improvements to navigating and downloading things from the LittleBigStore.
- Pressing or while browsing community levels can now display the name or author of each level on the Earth, as well as the heart counts and star rating.

Changes
- Improved Emitter prediction to help fast-moving projectiles.

- Saved costumes are now sorted in the oder that they were created.
- When leaving Create Mode, the dialogue box now offers the option to cancel returning to the Pod, as well as saving or discarding changes.
- Sticker/decoration harvesting no longer works.
- To prevent people accidentally making their levels copyable, must now be used to affect the Copyable and Locked settings.
- The Searchlight has more tweakable options.
- The graphic used to represent the percentage of prizes collected from a level has been changed from a growing circle to a pie chart.
- The global setting switch design has been modified.
- Modifiers for various tweaks increase faster when using (by increments of 1.0, rather than 0.5 like before).
- Stickers can once again be placed on Score and Prize Bubbles.
- It is no longer possible to change the thickness of Race Gates.
- Increased the limit for the "Max Emitted" tweak on Emitters; it can now go into the thousands.
- The camera will now automatically zoom out when selecting an area of the screen.
- Unspecified improvements to the LittleBigStore.
Fixes
- A number of improvemtns have been made to make profiles more robust and able to recover from certain errors.
- Various fixes for level loading issues some players have experienced.
- Fixed a bug with Horrible Gas, where its colour would turn back to green when emitted.
- Stickers and Decorations can now be removed from all costume pieces.
- The Corner Editor can now be used on any material, regardless of whether things are glued to it of if it's touching another object.
- Fixed a bug with Pistons where setting the minimum length to 0 would cause it to turn invisible.
- Fixed the "Spongy Glass" glitch, which also disables the creation of anti-colour.
- Fixed a bug where collecting Score Bubbles that were glued to an object would cause the whole object/area/level to collapse.
- The "save-a-level-while-Popit-is-on-a-sticker-causes-system-crash" bug has been fixed.

- The "Failed to save profile" message will now display when a user's profile is full.

- USB keyboards can now be used for text chat.

- Fixed a bug where lights would forget the colour assigned to them.

Changes
- Moderated levels will now receive more detailed information once action has been taken.
- The notification message for a moderated creation will remain in place on screen, removing the chance that affected users miss it.
- Moderated levels can now be edited by the creator, whether playing online or offline.
- Additional information has been added on the "Good Grief!" screen, advising users on how it works and warns against making spurious reports.
