Whether it's a page founded on blatantly false information or a file that's outlived its usefulness, this template is used to mark pages as candidates for deletion. This template is NOT to be used as your personal seal of disapproval! Items will usually only be deleted if:
- it's a file that was uploaded ages ago but never linked anywhere
- it breaks one or more of the site's rules
Usage
To mark an item for deletion, type {{delete|reason}} at the top of the article you wish to mark for deletion, where reason is used to explain why you feel it should be deleted. Following a community or staff discussion, the page will be deleted by a moderator.
By default, items pending deletion will be added to Category:Marked for deletion. If for some reason you wish to display this template without categorizing the page, type {{delete|nocat=y}}
