			He created the Hollows as an undesired “side effect” of progress, producing more and more of them as his experiments advanced. It wasn’t until he realized the Hollows’ intentions that he understood the evil of his actions and the dangerous mistake he had made. He ceased the experiments immediately in an attempt to rectify the situation, but it was too late. He was ultimately captured and imprisoned in Spooky Mansion, while the Hollows continued their operation in his name.

			The puppeteer is a deteriorated, roughly carved wooden figure with the appearance of an aged craftsman, holding nails in his mouth. His head features bushy white eyebrows, a long pointed white beard, closed black eyes, and an imperfect, carrot-like wooden nose. His arms are forks whose heads serve as hands with sharp fingers, while his wooden legs are articulated and end in boot-shaped feet. He wears a dark blue work jumpsuit with faded colorful dots, an old brown tailcoat, and a dirty, puffy chef's beret with a white crown and a blue band.

			Once the greatest entertainer of Carnivalia, the puppeteer is a sorrowful old man corroded by loneliness and burdened by the reckless actions he committed in the past. He is a sentimental artist with an impulsive demeanor, a solitary life, and a talent for puppetry and science. He deeply regrets the loss of his puppet friends and the fatal creation of the Hollows.
