A '''Snowball''' is a secondary powerup in ''[[Sackboy: A Big Adventure]]''. It grants the user two different dash moves and protects them from most damage, but inhibits their other abilities.

==Behaviour==
A player automatically enters a Snowball when they get close enough, and can jump out at any time by pressing {{button|l1}}. The player can roll the Snowball around by pushing {{button|lstick}} in any direction, but are subject to the ball's physics and momentum; they must gradually build up speed when moving from a standstill, and it takes more effort to roll uphill than downhill.

The player has access to two different dash abilities: {{button|circle}} instantly propells the user forward and stuns any enemy it collides with, while {{button|square}} kills the first enemy it collides with, but has a short windup before the player dashes forward. Both dash moves have a brief cooldown when used on the ground.

The player can also perform a small hop by pressing {{button|cross}}, and although it doesn't provide much height, it can be chained into either of the aforementioned dash moves to bypass their respective cooldowns, e.g. mashing {{button|cross}} and {{button|circle}} together allows the player to move much faster than would be possible by just pressing {{button|circle}} on its own. Separately, it is possible (if a bit finicky) to bounce the Snowball up and over certain ledges by hopping and pressing {{button|square}} at the jump's peak.

Once a player is inside a Snowball, another player can pick it up and throw it to areas that would otherwise be out of reach for the Snowball.

A Snowball protects the player from most forms of damage (with enemy attacks simply knocking them back) and instantly destroys any breakable object it touches — including [[Crate]]s and [[Wobble Blob]]s. If a Snowball collides with a Destoyer Volume, such as in a door or bottomless pit, it will be destroyed and the player ejected.
